Set amidst the short grass plains of the southern Serengeti in Ngorongoro Conservation Area lies the mobile camp of Serian’s Serengeti South. From mid-December to May, those who stay at Serian’s Serengeti South will find themselves in one of the best positions for watching the wondrous calving season, where around 1.8 million wildebeest give birth to thousands of calves in the space of three to four weeks.
