Overlooking the rugged Cederberg Mountains, this luxurious lodge promises a stylish and serene stay in the midst of hiking trails, spring flowers and ancient rock art sites.

Though less than three hours from Cape Town, Simbavati Cederberg Ridge feels far removed from any urban bustle. Reminiscent of a modern African Farmhouse, the stone-built lodge exudes a welcoming warmth with plentiful use of wood and natural textures. Vaulted ceilings lend a light and airy feel, while cosy window seats in the bedrooms are great for admiring the glorious mountain views. In the main building, French windows open onto a generous covered terrace and dining deck, where delicious meals are served overlooking the indigenous gardens.

With 160,000 hectares of preserved natural wilderness at its feet, Cederberg Ridge offers a broad range of activities for guests to make the most of the Cederberg region. Hiking and biking trails start right from the lodge, with boating, rock art excursions and rooibos farm tours also on the menu. At Cederberg Ridge, adventure-filled days are concluded with sundowners and storytelling around the fire pit.
