Small and rustic, the focus at Etendeka is entirely on immersing yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds you – a world of rocky plains, flat-topped mountains and ancient basalt lava flows. On morning walks and afternoon game drives, you’ll discover that this seemingly inhospitable environment is actually bursting with life. The camp itself has a traditional feel. Guests are accommodated in just a handful of simple tents with eco-friendly, open-air bucket showers. Dining is a communal affair, with fresh, home-cooked meals prepared on open fires and enjoyed under the stars. For keen stargazers, Etendeka has its own telescope that guests are free to use to admire the constellations.
