Fashioned after a traditional German farmhouse, the lodge consists of just 20 guest chalets equipped with eco-conscious amenities, plush feather duvets and small balconies overlooking the natural surroundings. The U-shaped main building comprises a dining room, freestanding bar and lounge strewn with comfy leather sofas. Beyond lies the lap pool and elevated wooden deck where you can drink in a fantastic view across the Moltkeblick Mountain in one direction, and the twinkling lights of Windhoek in the other.

The reserve itself is home to various flora and 19 different species of game, so keep your eyes peeled for oryx, antelope, giraffe, wildebeest and the occasional leopard or cheetah on your morning and afternoon game drives. To get even closer to nature, you can choose to explore the reserve on foot in the company of an experienced guide, or experience the thrill of riding horseback. Mountain biking can also be arranged.

“SERVICE THAT GOES THE EXTRA MILE”

The service we received from The Ultimate Travel Company was second to none. Tania took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and helped us explore every option clearly and thoroughly. Her first-hand knowledge of Kenya and safaris made a real difference – she explained everything brilliantly. The thoughtful extras, like the travel wallet and documents, were such a lovely touch – especially for someone who loves to travel well-organised! Thank you so much. We’ll definitely be back for future adventures.

“FAULTLESS AND FUN”
We’ve just returned from a Danube cruise with Douglas Skeggs and Joanna Worsley, with a few days in Vienna beforehand – all brilliantly overseen by Emily. From meet and greet at the airport to every detail on board the Amadeus Cara, the organisation was seamless. We’re already looking forward to our next Escorted Tour with The Ultimate Travel Company.

“MONGOLIA STOLE MY HEART – A JOURNEY I’ll NEVER FORGET”
It was one of the best trips of my life. The itinerary you crafted for us was absolutely perfect; I wouldn’t have changed a thing. What made it even more special was the incredible team who looked after us. Edda was fantastic, and the two drivers we had for the Orkhon Valley and Gobi sections of the trip were possibly the best I’ve ever had.
