Overlooking an unspoilt stretch of bush, views from the lodge are unrivalled. The magnificent spray that rises from the Falls, as well as the Zambezi River, can be admired from the garden and infinity pool, as well as from the comfort of your own room. Guests are accommodated in just 10 unique chalets that range from open-fronted teak and stone constructions to more colonial-style brick and tiled rooms. Four are suites and enjoy the welcome addition of a private plunge pool.

As well as guided tours of the Victoria Falls, activities at Stanley Safari Lodge are impressively varied. Horse riding, white water rafting, fishing and visits to authentic African villages can all be arranged, while game drives and river safaris are great for getting up close to wildlife. Those feeling more adventurous can also take their pick from bungee jumping, quad biking, abseiling and helicopter flights. The nearby Livingstone Museum, where you can peruse the explorer’s original letters, is always worth a visit.

“EXCELLENT SAFARI IN REMOTE ZAMBIA”

We had a wonderful safari experience in South Luangwa, Zambia this September. Despite a few unexpected setbacks behind the scenes, everything ran seamlessly for us. Our driver and guide were outstanding, and the standard of accommodation was truly first class.

“YES TO ULTIMATE – AND YES AGAIN”
This was our second big trip with The Ultimate Travel Company – and we’d happily use them again and again. The customer service is excellent: they really listen to what you want and make it happen. Their on-the-ground support, wherever you’re headed, is just as strong. Everything was seamless. Highly recommend.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
