This small expedition ship operates in both Antarctica and the Arctic, with expeditions to enchanting destinations such as the South Shetland Islands, Northeast Greenland, Svalbard and the Falklands. It has 18 Zodiac boats at its disposal, which will allow you to make landfall on remote shores, come within touching distance of icebergs and share magical encounters with the likes of whales, penguins and seals.
Back on board, you can retreat to the privacy of your stateroom to relax and enjoy the unobstructed ocean views. Explore the ship further to find two wonderful restaurants, a polar spa, an open-air pool with lounging deck and Jacuzzis, the “Albatros Nordic Bar” and a modern lecture theatre. Though facilities are very similar to its sister vessel, the Ocean Victory, the Albatros adds a unique panoramic sauna and 12 dedicated cabins for solo travellers.
Ocean Albatros takes pride in being one of the most environmentally friendly options for polar travel, with a carbon footprint significantly lower than traditional expedition vessels. Its engines are all controlled electronically to optimise speed and minimise fuel consumption, whilst its X-Bow technology ensures stability during challenging polar weather.
