Overlooking leafy Marion Square in the heart of town, The Dewberry Charleston offers a sophisticated retreat from which to experience the charms of South Carolina’s oldest city. The exquisitely designed hotel – the communal work of preservationists, architects and artisans – puts on a beautiful display of mid-century modern design, handcrafted metalwork and original period furnishings. The 155 rooms and suites are elegantly appointed in crisp whites, creams and browns, with luxurious marble bathrooms, curated books and local antiques.

The eighth-floor Citrus Club (the highest terrace in the city) is a popular haunt amongst locals for rooftop cocktails, whilst the welcoming Living Room is a place to enjoy classic cocktails and quality, ingredient-driven dishes amidst charming mid-century furnishings. The tranquil spa, with its cypress-lined treatment rooms, offers an enticing menu of treatments drawing on native botanicals such as the antioxidant-rich dewberry plant. Complete with baskets and maps, the hotel also offers complimentary bicycles for guests to explore the local area with.

“A TRIP OF A LIFETIME, PERFECTLY PLANNED”
Dear Claire, our trip was 100% amazing. We fell in love with Chile. I love how we were introduced to all of the different parts of the country. Our family was engaged in all of the fun from beginning to end. The lodges were just perfection. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I really appreciate all you did to make our trip a trip of a lifetime.

“PROFESSIONAL, PERSONAL – AND A REAL PLEASURE”
From the moment we got in touch, everything felt smooth and well looked after. The team were not only professional and thorough – providing tailored suggestions with clear costings – but also genuinely friendly. Even after we returned, a follow-up email (and a bottle of wine!) showed just how thoughtful Ultimate Travel really is. Nothing was too much trouble. We already have more trips booked and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
