WONDERFUL INDIGENOUS WILDLIFE
Cruising slowly along the Sekonyer River aboard the Super Deluxe Klotok is one of the best ways to see the wonderful indigenous wildlife of Tanjung Puting National Park.
Binoculars in hand, you’ll venture deep into the park’s dense jungles and mangrove swamps, looking out for proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, hornbills and orangutans amidst the trees that line the river. Your private guide will also take you onshore for exciting jungle walks and the chance to observe orangutan feedings. You’ll spend your days relaxing on the sun deck where you can easily drink in the sights and sounds of the jungle, and your evenings dining on traditional Indonesian meals prepared by the in-house chef.
Designed in line with the traditional wooden river boats that used to transport goods along the waters of Indonesian Borneo, the vessel is simply but comfortably furnished. Cabins are well fitted with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and plush four-poster beds with hanging mosquito nets. You can also choose to sleep out on deck under the stars and the cover of a wooden roof.
