Water babies will find an array of non-motorised water sports equipment to borrow, including glass-bottomed kayaks. Nearby Hanifaru Bay is a prime spot for manta rays and whale sharks, while the resort’s big game fishing boat is ready to take you out on the high seas in search of wahoo and swordfish.

As well as a cocktail lounge, Milaidhoo has three tempting restaurants where the views are just as impressive as the food. Ba’theli, which serves island-inspired cuisine on a dhoni boat in the lagoon, makes the biggest impression.
