ABOUT THE TOUR
This is no ordinary journey. All internal travel is by private plane, taking us from Nairobi to Kidepo Valley in Uganda – a wild, game-rich park that few travellers ever reach – then on to Koros Camp near Lake Turkana, one of Kenya’s most remote and captivating regions.
With just ten or eleven guests, this is a unique opportunity to explore the wild heart of East Africa in comfort and privacy. A safari for those who’ve seen the classics – and want something different.
1 night in Nairobi. 4 nights in Kidepo. 3 nights in Turkana.
Apoka Safari Lodge – Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda
Perched on a rocky kopje with sweeping views of the Narus Valley, Apoka Safari Lodge is the only fully serviced lodge inside Kidepo. Its spacious rooms, crafted from wood, thatch and canvas, open onto private verandas with outdoor bathtubs – perfect for soaking in the solitude. The lodge is a peaceful yet luxurious base from which to explore one of Africa’s most remote and wildlife-rich parks.
Koros Camp – Lake Turkana, Northern Kenya
Tucked into a ridge above the sand dunes of the Kaisut Desert, Koros Camp offers exclusive access to Kenya’s far north. With just six charming bandas, it’s an intimate wilderness escape where you can disconnect completely. Whether quad biking through volcanic landscapes, fishing on Lake Turkana or simply stargazing under pitch-black skies, the camp blends raw adventure with rustic comfort.
