A REAL FIELD STATION
But Caiman House is a real field station. So you can expect adventure. You will be participating in an on-going research programme into the world’s largest alligator – the black caiman. You’ll watch these magnificent beasts being caught, and you’ll help weigh, measure, determine their sex and tag them.
You’ll also have the opportunity to visit genuine Amerindian communities and meet local craftspeople like the furniture builders of Yupukari. And you’ll have the inner satisfaction that while you’re revelling in your visit – and learning from it – you’re actually contributing to development projects like classroom libraries for schools, in three local villages.
