Royal Palm Beachcomber sits on the sheltered north-west coast of Mauritius, close to Grand Baie. Protected from the prevailing trade winds, the resort looks out across calm lagoon waters and a soft curve of white sand, giving it a particularly peaceful setting along this stretch of the island.
The hotel is deliberately small in scale, with just 69 suites, all facing the Indian Ocean. Suites range from Junior and Tropical Suites to the larger Ocean and Palm Suites, while the Presidential Suites and Royal Villa offer expansive living space, private terraces and direct access to the beach. Interiors are classic in style, with generous proportions and large terraces designed to maximise the sea views.
Dining is an important part of the experience. The signature restaurant, La Goélette, overlooks the bay and serves refined cuisine led by Executive Chef William Girard, drawing on both French culinary techniques and local Mauritian ingredients. Other options include Asiya, a pan-Asian restaurant facing the lagoon, and La Plage, which offers more relaxed beachfront dining beneath the shade of a badamier tree.
Facilities are centred around the beach and gardens. The resort offers a wide range of complimentary water sports including sailing, kayaking, snorkelling and water skiing, along with tennis courts, padel and a fitness centre. For golfers, Mont Choisy Le Golf — an 18-hole course — is located around ten minutes away and accessible to guests.
The Royal Palm Spa, developed in partnership with the Swiss brand Valmont, provides an extensive wellness area with treatment rooms, steam baths, yoga spaces and relaxation areas. Families are also welcomed, with the Ti Royal Kids Club offering activities for younger guests, while teenagers have their own dedicated programme.
