The Serengeti is home to huge concentrations of animals. Lion, cheetah and even leopard are on show all year round. Elephant, rhino and giraffe roam nonchalantly across the landscape. Hyena and jackal follow the great herds of gazelle, whilst overhead vultures, buzzards and eagles soar on invisible thermals. And then, over the period of several months almost two million wildebeest, zebra and eland teem through the channel between Serengeti and Masai Maru. It is a spectacle not to be missed.
