Eco-friendly with sustainability at its heart
Tucked away in an orchard close to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, this charming heritage hotel is the perfect base for trekkers and those looking to explore Ladakh’s cultural treasures.
Accommodation at this century-old Himalayan home comes in the form of four guestrooms in the main house and seven spacious tents dotted throughout the orchard. Interiors are a blend of Ladakhi traditions and modern comforts, with local materials, hot water showers and private bathrooms. Perched at an altitude of 3,000 metres, guests will find themselves enclosed by spellbinding Himalayan vistas.
A wonderful sense of tranquillity pervades Nimmu with its countless fruit trees, Buddhist temples, beautiful mountain setting and stables housing yaks, dzos and goats. Whilst being the ideal place to start or end a trek, the property also allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture with visits to nearby villages and monasteries. Guided yoga, rafting and mountain biking are also on the menu.
