This unique journey combines some of India's most iconic sights with three remarkable wildlife sanctuaries, with accommodation throughout at some of the Taj Group's fine hotels and luxury safari lodges.
You begin in Delhi, with its extraordinary mixture of Mughal and British colonial architecture, before travelling south to Agra. Explore the majestic Taj Mahal, imposing Agra Fort and astounding 16th century remains of Fatehpur Sikri together with Bharatpur, a small marsh and grassland reserve that is home to an astonishing variety of endemic and migratory birds, including many rare and endangered species. Continue by overnight train to the Bandhavgarh National Park in Madya Pradesh, where the lush forests and wetlands support a large number of birds and mammals, including the elusive tiger and rarer species.
