ABOUT THE ITINERARY
A simple yet adventure-filled holiday combining the incredible wildlife and scenery of Ruaha National Park with a five-night stay on Zanzibar’s exquisite Pemba Island.
The first half of your trip will be spent at an exclusive safari camp in the untamed wilderness of Ruaha National Park, with awe-inspiring views across the Ruaha Valley. As one of the country’s least known safari destinations where tourists are few, yet the wildlife is prolific, you will have the opportunity to explore the wondrous landscapes in search of elephants, lions, zebras and more. In addition to guided bush walks and game drives, you will have photography safaris and cultural tours at your doorstep.
After the drama of the African bush, you will fly to Pemba Island, where you will be surrounded by the blue waters of the Indian Ocean and some of the country’s finest beaches. Days can be spent snorkelling, scuba diving, water skiing and windsurfing, or simply catching up on some reading by the pool. The perfect end to a captivating Tanzania safari.
RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
You will begin your luxury holiday at one of Tanzania’s least known safari destinations, Ruaha National Park.
Staying in the exclusive camp of Ikuka, surrounded by awe-inspiring views across the Ruaha Valley, you will experience a more personal and intimate wilderness adventure in one of the country’s finest game-viewing destinations.
Game drives in purpose-built 4×4 vehicles and guided walking safaris will take you across the endless rolling hills, towering baobab forests and vast open plains to spot Tanzania’s largest elephant population with over 10,000 elephants, countless herds of herbivores and prides of big cats.

PEMBA ISLAND
On your fifth day, you will board another light aircraft to the alluring Pemba Island, part of Tanzania’s magnificent Zanzibar Archipelago. Here, you will be welcomed by emerald green hills, white sands and glistening Indian Ocean waters that support pristine coral reefs and a rich marine life.
Enjoy five nights at an exclusive, peaceful beach resort in the southwest of the island. You will find yourself in the midst of some of the world’s top dive sites, whilst the resort has its own fully equipped dive centre. Water skiing, fishing and windsurfing are also on offer, as well as private catamaran charters and romantic sunset dhow cruises. Otherwise, you can enjoy relaxing treatments at the spa or make use of the resort’s games room.
