For balance, this itinerary also offers a myriad of opportunities to immerse yourself in nature. You’ll self-drive into the majestic Laurentian Mountains, a region packed with shimmering lakes, meandering rivers and rich forests, where your days can be filled with hiking, kayaking, biking and more. Also included is a trip to the stunning Niagara Falls, where you can sail to within almost touching distance of the thundering cascades.

DAY 1 – 3

TORONTO

Fly to Toronto. There is so much to see, do and experience in this self-proclaimed Megacity, but why not start with the popular Harbourfront where you will find an array of entertainment venues and a lakeside walking trail. Also make time for the 533m tall CN Tower where you can drink in expansive city views.

On the third day, you will set off to visit one of the world’s most impressive natural wonders – Niagara Falls. Travelling through the orchard-filled Niagara Peninsula, you can take a boat ride right up to the foot of the falls. The sight and sound of millions of gallons of water crashing over a towering cliff is simply unmissable.

DAY 4 – 6

OTTAWA

Today you will leave Toronto and travel to Ottawa via the VIA Rail. Business Class allows you to relax in comfort and style as you whizz through Canada’s glorious countryside.

You’ll arrive in Canada’s capital after about four and a half hours. A dynamic and thriving city, Ottawa plays a significant role in Canada’s history, culture and diversity. You’ll find plenty of interesting museums and galleries, whilst the blend of cultures at the famous ByWard Market is a testament to the city’s cosmopolitan character. A private walking tour will reveal Ottawa’s fascinating past, with stops at the National War Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Parliament Hill.

DAY 7 – 8

MONT TREMBLANT

On day seven you will pick up your hire car and set off for the European-style resort of Mont Tremblant, reckoned to be the jewel of the Laurentians Range. The opportunity for outdoor adventure here is endless. Choose from skiing, golfing, hiking, fishing, biking and countless other activities. Tremblant’s Pedestrian Village is well-stocked with world-class facilities, restaurants, shops and even a cinema. DAY 9 – 10

SAINT ALEXIS DES MONTS

Staying in the Laurentian Mountains, venture to the charming parish municipality of Saint Alexis des Monts. You will be staying in a traditional wooden lodge surrounded by a forest and adjacent to the Matigouche Wildlife Reserve.

Your journey continues to Québec City, one of the oldest existing European settlements in Canada. Founded in 1608, the old walled city of Québec in the Upper Town still retains its original cobblestone pathways and quaint buildings. The lower town houses the Museum of Québec as well as Place-Royal, the site of the first permanent settlement in New France. A city tour is included in your stay.

MONTREAL

Montreal is one of the most unique and happening cities in the country.
