A bit about me

I’ve been involved in the world of overseas charity challenges since 1996. I started out as an Events Fundraiser with the charity Scope, where I worked for over 6 years developing an extensive range of overseas challenges and gaining in-depth knowledge and understanding of charity events.
I joined Ultimate Travel in 2001 to help grow the charity challenge side of the business, now known as Ultimate Challenges. Being able to support and raise money for incredible charities is our main goal for our team at Ultimate Challenges.

I have been privileged to travel the world – setting up new treks and bike rides in some of the most beautiful places on earth. I am passionate about inspiring people to experience the world and push themselves beyond anything they can ever imagine. My main love is mountain biking and when not leading trips overseas, or organising the day to day management of the challenge events (or looking after my three children) I can be found riding the single track of the North Downs.

My favourite place

Ladakh, India is definitely one of my favourite places. The mountains, the people, the Buddhist culture – all make for a life-changing adventure.

My most memorable experience

Summitting Kilimanjaro – I had to dig pretty deep to reach that summit, nothing prepares you for the high altitude. One of the most challenging things I have ever done.

My top tips

• Get the best waterproofs you can afford! Or hire them. Having the right kit will make all the difference.
• Write a journal when you’re away to ensure you never forget those views, memories and feelings!
