From Belo Horizonte you will be driven to Ouro Preto, once a colonial mining town in the Espinhaço Mountains, now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its astounding Baroque architecture. Continue to Tiradentes; a pretty town with colourful colonial-style houses and churches.

Your final stop is the charming fishing village of Paraty, on the Atlantic coast. With its exquisite historic quarter, attractive offshore islands and delightfully laid back atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to end your tour of Brazil’s colonial gems.
