ABOUT THE ITINERARY
In this two-week itinerary you will stay at two charming estancias, have the opportunity to round up cattle on horseback, fish in some of the best trout rivers on the planet, hike stunning mountain trails in Patagonia and discover the Argentine tradition of tango.
Mountain biking, golf, white-water rafting can all be organised too, and you will be surrounded by some of Argentina’s most impressive national parks. For those looking for something gentler, there is plenty of opportunity to relax at the carefully chosen accommodation. Whether it be at a traditional working ranch, a boutique hotel or a cosy mountain view B&B, each property oozes character and is the perfect base to explore some of Argentina’s natural wonders.
DESIGNED BY SPECIALISTS
Bear in mind, these are just a starting point as all holidays are customised to the specific requirements of our guests. Whether you prefer a different style of accommodation, a greater focus on a particular interest or to go to a different destination all together, every itinerary is created individually around your preferences.
CÓRDOBA
Arrive into Córdoba international airport, where you will be driven to Estancia Los Petreros, your home for the next three nights.
Estancia Los Potreros is a charming and authentic estancia, owned by Kevin Begg. During your stay, you will experience life on a traditional Argentine farm with activities including riding, birdwatching and swimming in waterfalls.
One of the highlights of any stay at Los Potreros are the mealtimes, which are taken ‘family’ style with guests eating together and Kevin hosting. You’ll get to experience the traditional Argentine ‘asado’ or barbeque, plus freshly baked bread and homemade dishes.
Stay: Three nights at Estancia Los Potreros – full board
EL CHALTÉN
On day 4, you will be driven back to Córdoba Airport for your direct flight to El Calafaté. On arrival, you will be driven north towards the town of El Chaltén. The drive takes around 2 ½ hours and the final section is magnificent, as the Fitz Roy mountain range appears on the horizon.
El Chaltén is the trekking capital of Argentina and over the next two days, you will have the chance to explore some of its trails. Your base is a cosy B&B in the centre of El Chaltén and the perfect starting point for trekking in the Los Glaciares National Park.
There are trails of all lengths and difficulties and on one of the full days, you will be taken on a guided hike from the national park to Laguna de los Tres.

THE LAKE DISTRICT
You will be driven to El Calafate airport for a direct flight to San Carlos de Bariloche, in the heart of the Argentine Lake District. On arrival, you will be driven 3 hours north towards the town of San Martin de los Andes.
Estancia Tipiliuke is located between the towns of San Martin de Los Andes and Junín de los Andes, and fuses the character of a traditional estancia with the amenities and cuisine of a modern hotel.
Over the next three days, you can fish, ride, hike and mountain bike. With 9 rooms, service and activities are incredibly personalised and for those who prefer to relax, they have a massage and yoga room, hot tub and wood burning sauna.
