You begin in the sensational Madikwe Game Reserve, where you’ll enjoy thrilling game drives and bush walks attended by expert guides. You’ll track big cats, hyena, zebra, elephants and packs of endangered African wild dogs, whilst listening for the sounds of over 350 species of birds.
Then it’s time for the iconic highlights of Cape Town, where you can take in the renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, historic Robben Island and mighty Table Mountain. The city, a mix of contemporary and old-world elegance, captures the imagination with its dynamic suburbs, stunning vistas and world-class dining.

Arriving in Cape Town, you will be transferred for your flight to Madikwe, from where you will be met and taken to your lodge.
MADIKWE GAME RESERVE
Located near the border with Botswana, the Madikwe Game Reserve is one of South Africa’s prime wildlife destinations and offers a truly authentic safari experience.
In addition to an impressive bird population, the reserve is packed with an impressive variety of wildlife. This includes the “Super Seven”, which features lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros, elephant, cheetah and the endangered African wild dog, as well as more unique creatures such as springbok, gemsbok and tsessebe.
You will be staying at a traditional-style safari lodge within the reserve, which boasts sweeping views across the plains from its exclusive hilltop location. Enjoy warm hospitality and delicious meals on top of day and night game drives and walking safaris through the reserve’s 76,000-hectare wilderness.

CAPE TOWN
Next you will catch a flight to Cape Town, where you’ll be staying in a distinguished hotel within walking distance of the city centre. You can browse the colourful local crafts markets, stroll around the buzzing V&A Waterfront or take a cable car up Table Mountain to soak up the horizon-wide views over the “Mother City”. The Castle of Good Hope and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are also worth visiting, whilst a short boat ride will bring you to Robben Island, home of the prison cell where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27-year sentence.
