From Cape Town you will make your way to the beautiful Franschhoek Valley at the heart of the Cape Winelands. Not only is the region celebrated for its fine wines, it’s also renowned for its photogenic scenery, Cape Dutch architecture, galleries and world-class restaurants where top chefs prepare gastronomic delights.

You will be staying in a chic country retreat set on a historic vineyard and fruit farm in the heart of the valley, just steps from the village of Franschhoek itself. When you’re not enjoying the food, or sampling the valley’s finest vintages, you can play a game of tennis, ride horses, go mountain biking, take a dip in the pool or enjoy a stroll through the vines along the oak-lined river.

Your next port of call is the charming coastal town of Hermanus where you will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the world’s best whale watching. In fact, you might even be able to spot one of these ocean giants from the comfort of your hotel room which sits in a prime position above the town’s famous cliffs.

As well as exceptional whale watching you can enjoy a variety of other outdoor activities, from sea kayaking and paragliding to great white shark diving. There’s also beautiful beaches, fruit farms, vineyards, charming village shops and fabulous restaurants to explore.

Today, you’ll drive to Cape Town International Airport and catch a flight to Port Elizabeth.

On arrival, you will be met by your private transfer to head to Lalibela Game Reserve.

The reserve is made up of 10,500 hectares of protected landscape, containing five different biomes, including bushveld, grassland and fynbos. Lalibela also features no public roads running through it, guaranteeing privacy whilst on safari and making it unique to the Eastern Cape.

From Port Elizabeth, you’ll catch an internal flight to either Johannesburg to Cape Town before your international flight home.
