AMALFI COAST
Your first stop is the inimitable Amalfi Coast. Running for 50km along the Sorrentine Peninsula, this stretch of the Mediterranean is famed for its sheer cliffs, terraced vineyards, fragrant citrus groves and pastel-coloured villages. All of which tumble down to a shimmering blue sea.
Your characterful hotel occupies a former medieval convent founded by St Francis of Assisi. The hotel has its own saltwater pool overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, but you’re also just a short stroll away from the beach, as well as the boutiques and bars of Amalfi’s centre. Other must-do activities include boat rides along the amazing shoreline and sipping coffee with the locals at Piazza del Duomo, home to the ninth-century Amalfi Cathedral.
When it comes to dining, Luna Convento serves up simple and authentic Italian cuisine inspired by the flavours of the Amalfi region.
