Talk about the ‘wildlife’ of Brazil and, to some, the phrase conjures up pictures of all-night parties on world famous beaches, huge street carnivals and the rhythms of Latin America.
Well, there is that. But, even more enthralling are Brazil’s vast tracts of unspoiled rainforests. In the Southern Amazon they are home to jaguars, Harpy eagles, giant otters, capybara and agouti. Not to mention a whole array of bizarre birds.
In the Northern Pantanal you’re likely to see anacondas and hyacinth macaws, caiman, armadillos, monkeys and anteaters. In Iguazu you’ll be surrounded by deep jungle and, of course, see the astounding Iguazu Falls.
